Today I had my calendar day 3 sonogram to make sure everything looked ok to start IVF. I had a small fibroid that I've never seen before, but he said that he is not concerned about it and that we could move foward. He gave us the go to start the process, so I started my 1st birth control pill today. Yes, I know...a little ironic taking the birth control pill, but this actually will help regulate my cycle to exactly where they want it to be for IVF.
I'll do a trial transfer next Tuesday (mock transfer to see where the best place to drop the embryos will be). Within 2-3 weeks I'll start injections for my 1st medication. I'll start injections twice daily for my 2nd medication in about 4 weeks. Then its bloodwork and sonograms every other day for about 1.5 weeks. Around the end of February should be the embryo retrieval, and then about 5 days after that the embryo transfer. Then the wait begins (only about 10 days). I am also doing acupuncture twice a week during the 7 weeks and that started today. All in all its about a 6-7 week process starting today!
We're very excited, very optimistic, and very hopeful. If this is God's will for us, we could be parents in about 40-50 days! During this process, we covet your prayers for us to be able to give complete control to God and surrender our emotions, anxieties, worries, etc. Please pray that this process will make our marriage even stronger , and please pray that God's glory will shine through with whatever the outcome may be.
Starting today and everyday from today, I will post whats been completed each day on my history toolbar on the left.

Woohoo! You are on your way sister! Will be cheering & praying for you :)
