Romans First Christmas, New Years, 4 Month Pics! Very Large Post!

My niece Aydia was sick on Christmas so we waited a good 2 weeks to make sure everyone was well to have Christmas with my (Coker) side. The SKY WAS BRILLIANT this night! What a "Kaiya Sky" it was!!! I wanted to cry...The pictures below are un-edited...the orange and pink were so bright! I had numerous friends texting me and facebooking "Kaiya Sky". It means so much to me when people look at the sky and think of her. We surely felt her presence with us this night on a night she would be missed greatly. Kaiya is our "rainbow baby". We
understand that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. There has not been one day since she was born that I haven't cried or got choked up. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope. Although we missed her greatly this Christmas, we are so happy she was celebrating Christmas with Jesus this year. What better place to be? Everytime I hear the song "Silent Night" I think of Kaiya. Roman loves it when I sing this song to him. At our Christmas Eve Service this year, they ended it with "Silent Night" while we all held candles and they dimmed the lights. Tears couldn't quit falling from my face. Its not a totally sad cry...its a sad, happy, peaceful, joyful all bundled into one cry if that makes sense. May Kaiya Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

We loved watching Roman play in his crib!

My sweet sisters.....I love these ladies!
AH, SO PRECIOUS! COUSINS!!!! We told the kids, they could only touch Roman's feet...so they did all night :)

Roman was looking at Elijah, while he got his diaper changed
This was the first time Uncle Kasey has held Roman!! so sweet!

Look at this cute face!

Roman checking out Boppy's bow

Roman loved his glow worm
Aydia's new Ladybug gear
I did a scavenger hunt up to the Media room for the kids last present.

We all enjoyed this Christmas, even though it was January 7th :) Worth the wait!

Dustin, Kacey, and Roman's 1st Christmas

We started a tradition and got matching pajamas for me, Dustin, Roman, and Charli. Dustin and Charli were not fans of them but I loved them! :) Charli hates it when we put clothes on him.

1st Family picture taken
It says their names on their butts!
Charli looks so sad here!

We made Dustin do this pose!
My little Elf!
All strapped in ready to go to the Pierson Family Christmas!

Love this picture!
Love this look!

My FAVORITE Christmas picture of Roman!
Since he couldn't get pictures with Santa (we aren't taking him out of the house)...we took them with our fake Santa at our house!

Dustin and our Nieces!! Roman is the 1st boy on his side of the family.
Present Time!
We made snow out of the packing!
He looks so big here with his cousin Reagan!

He's "pooped" out!

Posing next to Opie!
My Christmas Miracle :)

"Thumbs Up" for my 1st Christmas!
Smilin' at Aunt Hay Hay
He's pointing at her here!
Scrumptious smile!
Staring at Papa
Cousin Claire feeding him
Yawning with Aunt ToTo

I love it when he sticks his bottom lip out!

I didn't need any gifts this year...he was my best gift of all! My cute nieces in the hats we gave them!

This Christmas was more than we could have ever dreamed up. Speechless! No Words!

NEW YEARS 2011!!

He didn't like this outfit when I first put it on him!
We got to spend New Years with our Best Friends Aaron and Nicole this year. Last New Years they got engaged at the Ranch with us and they recently got married! We Love Them!
Kisses before we left him with Nana and Papa!
Thanks Nana!
We had dinner with "The Clarks" before going to the party.
Here he is in his New Years attire

I know people think I'm crazy for posting so many pictures...and numerous pics of the same pose...BUT there are a few reasons I do this: 1) I print this blog into a book once a year and I'm doing it in place of a Baby Book for him so I don't want to leave out anything 2) We never take him anywhere so its my way of not letting family/friends feel like they don't miss "anything!" 3) being so close to losing my baby makes me want to capture every moment with him and hold on tight!

Yesterday we sat him down for his 4 month pictures in his glider. I thought we'd be lucky if he'd even look at the camera. As soon as we sat him down he started giggling and smiling and wouldn't stop! It was hilarious, I could not quit cracking up!! He turned 4 months yesterday (really he'd not even be 2 months for 2 more weeks) and he started really smiling yesterday!!! It was an awesome day!! He also saw snow for the first time. I think its the snow that did it :)

Charli thinks "whats Romans is mine" He's chillin on his boppy pillow.

These Superman pictures were taken yesterday too (on his 4 month) so here are the smiles!!

He looks alot like I did as a baby in the next 3 pictures!

Dustin grew up in Arkansas and he loves the Razorbacks. As a gift this year we got an infant jersery for Roman just in time for the Sugar Bowl!

Set....Hut!

"Awww this feels good!" (hence his eyes rolling back in his head!)

My little big boy!

This showed up in this picture. I like to think its Kaiya looking down on him. He's looking at it too!

He's got beautiful blue/grey eyes and his Dr. seems to think they'll stay that way!
Like Mommy like Son. Look at our identical hands!!! Poor Roman has mommy's short fat hands and feet!

His shirt reads "My finger may be small but I can still wrap mommy around it"

Boxer Baby!
Stretch!

Love this beautiful picture of him!
All you Need is Love! That's right!

Ok....so here I am at 2 months and here Roman is at the same age! What do you think?! He's like a boy version of me! Maybe Kaiya would've looked like me? The pictures look like boy/girl twins!

  6. Silet Night has a whole new meaning to me now.. I have always loved that song because it is a favorite of my mom's and has a lot of meaning to her but after Christmas Eve service I'll never hear it again without looking up and thinking of Kaiya. I love her the same way I love all the sweet angels in my life. She left an imprint in my heart forever... and her brother... could he get any cuter? Each picture makesme smile and laugh! I love him and Aunt Toto's picture and esp love the new 4month pictures!!! Oh and the 3 of you at Christmas, awesome first Xmas pictures!
