The Longggggg Awaited Nursery

This was a picture of the nursery we took back in July before Kaiya's passing. We had just finished painting and ordering the cribs and bedding. It took alot of hard work to make it into "Roman's Nursery" but all my family helped and we did it! After coming home from the hospital after Kaiya passed away I didn't ever go back into this nursery until it was repainted. My dad worked so hard and repainted. We still left pieces of it in place in rememberence of Sweet Kaiya Faith.

Well its been a long time planning...........but the nursery is finally finished!! Now all we need is Roman to be home to really complete it! I've dreamed of this nursery for so many years. Both of our families put in a lot of hard work to make it perfect; especially "Boppy" and "Nana!" Boppy helped repaint the nursery to all blue after Kaiya's passing and Nana custom made the curtains and all the awesome shadow boxes.

I put this picture of Kaiya's sweet feet in the hallway and you can see it as you go into the nursery.
These boy/girl angels are hanging above the outside door of the nursery as you are about to go in.

Nana made this sign to hang on the door.

The clouds on the ceiling look so real! Even though its a boys nursery I had to do the black chandelier! He can take it down in a few years.

Looking in from the doorway.

From the outside looking in.

We put down black hardwood floors because the brown carpet wasn't working!

Awesome Diaper Cake my friend Sarah made!

This sign I bought way before I was even pregnant in hopes I would be soon!

This is looking up at the ceiling.

Roman's bedding! Lovebugbabybedding.com did a great job!!

His toy bag

Nana made all of this.
This is a beautiful poem she wrote "from" Kaiya to Mommy and Daddy with a picture of her feet. Grab a kleenax! It reads...
Dear Mommy and Daddy,
I know your hearts are broken now and you don't understand. As time goes by you will come to know it's all part of God's perfect plan. Don't take it lightly or by accident that Christ sent me to you. Live your lives in such a way that others see him in you. It's so wonderful to live up here, there's gold on every street. The thing I love the most is when I play at our Savior's feet. Tell Roman about Jesus and his amazing love. And that I will be watching over him from my new home up above. Teach Roman how to pray each night when you tuck him in. And how Jesus gave his life to free us all from sin. Share my story with others, but don't shed bitter tears. This will bring others to Jesus through the coming years. I'll be in every smile that Roman smiles and the twinkle in his eye. I'll always be right there beside him, especially when he cries. So hold on tight to Jesus and feast daily on his word. Cast your cares upon him and your prayers will all be heard. In the arms of Jesus,
Kaiya Faith

This is a letter to Roman "from" Mommy and Daddy that reads..."Sweet Roman, We had each other and then we had you, and now we have everything."

Originally we wanted pink in the clouds for Kaiya, and after she passed we kept the pink in the clouds because we wanted to have a "Kaiya Sky" still. I love the pink right above the window...it makes it look like a sunset.
These are the beautiful curtains Nana made.

I even have their embryo picture in their nursery and what is says on the sign is true...before you were concieved, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were here for an hour, I would die for you. This is the miracle of love.
Above the doorway I wanted to have a special place for Kaiya. My sister had an artist draw this beautiful picture of Kaiya from her 19 week sonogram along with the Exodus 23:20 "I am sending an angle ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared for you." I also have the picture of me being pregnant with her and looking down at her. I know she always will be with us and Roman and they will have such a strong spiritual bond. It was very important to me to have her in his nursery. So now everytime we walk out that door she is looking down on us and we can look up to her.

This is the most special sacred piece I have in the nursery. It's Kaiya's handprints and footprints. Nana and Papa made this shadow box as secure as possible and worked on it for many hours. The sign on it reads..."Although you never walked on this earth, you left footprints all over our hearts"

More pics of bedding
I wanted his closet to look more like a boutique, so we took off the door, added a chandelier, and added a carnis board. Tada!

I had an artist come in and paint Romans "birth scripture" on the wall over my picture that was taken when I was 12 weeks pregnant with Roman and Kaiya. Romans 9:9 on the day Roman was born reads..."For this is how the promise was stated. When I return Sarah shall have a son." He came when he was supposed to and it was all part of His Perfect Plan.
