11 Weeks and Growing...

I believe God is in one way or another sending messages or signs to my sisters to share with me to help give me a peace about my pregnancy. My sister Haley emailed me the below wording a picture.

"Haley
"-Okay so I was making breakfast this am and I only had 1 egg left . I was going to make Chris an omlet. I crack the egg open and out comes 2 yellow yolks. (like 2 eggs in one) omg! They were a little smaller in size than normal, especially the left but perfectly whole and good. Crazy!!! I looked around to see if anyone was watching me....this is a sign to me that she has 2 baby eggs, yes one is smaller but whole and perfectly good. Crazy !!!!!!!!!

I don't know what I would do without my sisters. A card I have reads: A sister is someone more special than words can even begin to describe. She is love mixed with friendship and with a million favorite memories that will always last. A sister is a hand within yours, enfolded with hope and understanding. She is a warm-hearted sould who always knows the innermost things-your secrets and worries and wishes and dreams-when no one else even comes close. And every day of your life, she gives you a feeling that makes you wonder what you would ever do without her...Because no one is loved so dearly, and no one is appreciated so much. I love you Whitney and Haley!

Here are my 11 week belly shots!

Your babies are about the size of a lipstick tube at this point; weighing in at about 9 grams and measuring around 2 inches long. With a dopler, a handheld sound wave stethoscope, you should be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat at this point. All of the critical development is done at this point, now all that needs to happen is for your babies to grow. Right now, your baby’s head is about half of it’s length. The forehead bulges and sits very high on the head. On an ultrasound you would be able to see the clear outline of the spine. Spinal nerves are stretching out from the spinal cord making his or her body straightening out and the torso is lengthening. Hair and toenail beds are beginning to develop (nails will actually start to grow within the next few weeks). The reproductive organs develop very rapidly this week. Ovaries are developing if its a girl. What you would be able to see , if your womb had a view, is that your fetus has distinct human characteristics by now, with hands and feet in the front of the body, ears nearly in their final shape (if not final location), open nasal passages on the tip of the nose, a tongue and palate in the mouth, and visible nipples. The external genitals are developing into either a penis or a clitoris and labia majora. By the end of the week these external genitals are recognizable and it should be easier to see if parents are having a boy or a girl. All of the vital organs are functioning by the end of the week. Kidneys are producing urine and the pancreas is producing insulin. At this point, only growing and becoming more efficient is left to do.

I'm feeling pretty tired, and I get nautious feeling about 4:00 and after in the PM. The mornings I am feeling pretty good! I know you're not supposed to feel anything until about the 16th week, but earlier and throughout today I have felt an air bubble feeling or butterfly feeling down where my uterus is. I think I have maybe found the heartbeats on my home fetal heart rate monitor, but I'm not completely sure. I can't believe its already 11 weeks! 12 weeks will be my next milestone, then 16 weeks, then 24 weeks, then 30 weeks, then 36 weeks!

Below is my necklace that I wear every day that I always refer to in my posts. I hold on tight to this at every sonogram! I bought it about a year ago and it reads...Mom, Faith, Miracles, and a Cross. Oh and the company name of my Dr's office is called Mansfield Miracles! I didn't know this until I had my 1st appt with him. Very fitting!

These are a gift I got from my friend Laura last week...she is hoping one of my babies is a girl! How cute are these?!? The brand is Heelarious! (get it?)
