Life is Amazing

Check out these 4d sonogram pictures of all of me and my sisters babies. Elijah, Aydia, Grady, Roman and Kaiya. Roman and Kaiya's was done at 18 weeks and the others were done at like 27 weeks. I am so thankful to have these pictures of Kaiya. The only reason we went at 18 weeks was to confirm their genders. If my Dr. hadn't of been wrong saying it was 2 boys, then I never would have gone this early and I never would have seen what my sweet Kaiya Faith looked like alive. After learning of Kaiya's heart stopped beating, I never got another 4d sonogram of their faces, it was too scary for me. Everything happens for a reason!!!

The song playing was what I planned on playing at my baby shower that I never got to have. I was going to have their 4d sonogram video playing on the tv during it to this song. In fact while I was listening to this song laying out in my backyard while pregnant, this was the day before my Dr's appt where we learned Kaiya had passed away. I will never forget looking up and how awesome the clouds were this day. I believe this is the exact moment she went to Heaven.

My beautiful Angel. The tech couldn't believe we were able to get this picture of her face. Its really hard with twins to get a full on face picture. In fact we weren't able to get Roman's. Another awesome gift from God that was no accident-so I was able to see my daughter face to face. This is the picture I have above the doorway in his nursery that I look at every time I rock Roman. A sweet friend who is an awesome artist drew it from the sonogram picture. Sweet sweet treasure!

Kaiya and Roman-look how close Roman was to Kaiya. They say the sac that seperates them is as thin as saran wrap so they can feel each other all the time. I cannot believe he was this close to her for 6 weeks after she passed. We even saw that he had echogennic bowels which meant that he was swallowing her blood. Further evidence that they have a bond so special that I will never be able to comprehend how strong it is. Total miracle that he is ok today. Who knows what miracle when you believe?

Grady!!!!

Grady Christoper Dodson was born on Monday October 3rd! I know I'm late on posting his arrival post, but at least you can see what we've all been up to with Grady for the past month! He is such a blessing to our family, and is the most beautiful baby boy ever! We love you Grady!!
This was taken the day before he was born. Haley was the cutest little pregnant woman! She only gained like 12 lbs!

This was taken in the waiting room minutes before Grady was born. As you can see the cousins were SO EXCITED to meet thier new cousin!

Here Haley's c section was going on and she was seconds away from laying her eyes on her miracle and you can see the tears in her eyes!!!

7 lbs 14.6 oz and 20.5 inches with a FULL HEAD of beautiful dark hair! He's so perfect!!

This is the 1st text picture we saw of Grady. I think he looks a lot like Haley's newborn picture here.


Roman was looking at Grady in the nursery through the window here. None of us had met him yet.

"Should've Been a Cowboy!" Roman's 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Roman's 1st birthday at the barn where my mom keeps her horse at. We celebrated it on September 17th I'm just a little late on doing the post! Roman's original due date was November 18th so actually his adjusted age at the time of his party was 10 months old. It was an awesome, small family and close friends party! Aunt ToTo and Uncle Big Daddy were planning on coming but got sick the night before and couldnt make it :(

Below is the picture that we used as the invitation. The invitation wording that was printed on it read "Howdy Partners! Grab yer hat n boots and don't be shy...we can't believe a years gone by! We got the orses n the hay...calling all of Roman's fans to come celebrate his 1st birthday!

He's all dressed up and waiting on the guests to arrive! This is the only year I could have gotten away with putting him in the wrangler diaper covers. I'm sure he'll kill me later! Doesn't he make the cutest cowboy!?!


Dustin worked so hard on making this picture cut out board! We printed picture of Roman and taped it up there at first and later got the guests pictures in it.

I originally planned on printing 1 picture for each month he's been alive, but that was impossible to choose from so I ended up doing 6 whole picture boards!

Dear Roman,
We got to spend your 1st birthday in Florida! We sang Happy Birthday to you and Kaiya on the beach and we released balloons to her. I know she's in every smile you smile. Words really can't express the love I have for you or the joy you have brought to my life. I thank God for you every day. Roman you continue to amaze me every day.
