5 months and feeling GREAT!

First I wanted to thank all of you who prayed for my friends a couple of weeks ago who were undergoing IVF/IUI. It wasn't God's timing yet for one of them, but I really feel like she will be a mother soon, and God will answer our prayers. My two other friends are now pregnant!!! One of their blogs is Faithforafamily.blogspot.com. I can't mention the other name of my other friend yet because they want to be quiet about it until their 7 week appt. They have a really cool testimony and story that goes with it, so I can't wait to share it with you in about 1.5 weeks!

My friend Beth (faithforafamily.blogspot.com) and I got in contact with each other after many years about a year ago. She confided in me what she was going through (2 years of infertility) and at the time, was not open with it to friends, family. Shortly after she decided to let others around her know what her and her husband were going through, and now she has a blog and has been able to help others who are going through the same thing! Her own journey has now strengthened her relationship with God, and everything just makes sense now! I told her about Dr. Le and she went with him for her IVF and was successful! Crazy thing is...I think both of these girls (based on their Beta numbers) could very well possibly be having twins!! God is so awesome!! Thank you God for answering our prayers!!! I'm so glad God has placed me in their lives and I've been able to help them through this journey!

I've been having so much fun getting things ready for my angel babies. Last week we ordered the cribs/changing table/dresser/hutch/glider/rug/scheduled painter/scheduled flooring/ bought a BIG panda bear for the nursery/and took back alot of the matching boy clothes I got and bought quite a bit of girl clothes!!! I had gone to Canton to do some shopping when I thought it was 2 boys, and there was hardly any girl clothes out there! I even made the comment, well at least this saves us a bunch a money! Needless to say, my mother and I took another trip to Canton yesterday and we're not saving a bunch of money anymore!!! I've bought clothes for the past 3 years either saving them for my own babies, or buying them for my niece and nephew. With all those clothes plus all the handy downs I have, I am set on clothes!! I really don't need any more clothes for now! Here are some pics of some of the clothes I've gotten...
My diaper bag!
Bows for sweet Kaiya

Dresses I bought 3 years ago in hopes of having a little girl someday
outfit for Roman that looks like one Daddy would wear
Socks and shoes for them

This reads "Wild about my Daddy"

This reads "Expensive, but I'm worth every penny!" (isn't that the truth!) And "Brand Sparlkin New"

Matching pink and blue zebra jackets for this Winter!

These read "Dude...Your wife keeps checkin' me out" and "Daddy's 1st Round Draft Pick"

These are pink spandex tights that go over her diaper with rhinestones and a matching headband with rhinestones :)

These are newborn and read "I fell from Heaven into your Arms"
I have a hot pink and black zebra bikini to match hers!!!

The zebra outfit will go great with her red high heels my friend Laura bought me!!
Premie outfits!!
Bling Bling paci's and paci clips!
These are premie and Roman's reads "Couln't wait" and Kaiya's reads "Premie donna"

Golf outfit to go golfin with Daddy

Matching Zoo outifts!
I got this stand to put in the nursery to display her pretty outfits!!
I've pained my toes pink and blue in honor of the twins and since Roman is on the left side of my belly, my left toe is primarily blue and since Kaiya is on the right side of my belly, my right toes is primarily pink!
I'm so excited about hitting 20 weeks! My next short term goal is 24 weeks (this is when if the babies came they would have about a 50% chance of viability). Then it'll be 28 weeks (viability goes up to 75%), then 30 weeks (I would be able to use my Dr and have them in the hospital I want to use), then 36 weeks (babies lungs are fully developed), then 37 weeks (they have their sucking technique down). See it started out with...well if we can just make it til the beta's double, then see the heartbeat, then sac size equality, etc. The big picture is that God knows the exact day my babies will be born and knows the numbers of hair on their head. When I reflect on this, it helps me to just surrender all my worries, thoughts, anxieties to Him because He has control, and He's holding my babies in my belly!!! Philippians 4:6-76-Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Some of you have asked if I took the picture at the top of my blog. I did not...this picture was taken by a man the day after Hurricane Katrina hit in New Orleans. Pretty awesome!!
Here's whats going on this week with Roman and Kaiya!
Their fingernails are beginning to grow. They are 10 inches in length (head to toe and this is the way they are measure now instead of head to butt) and are about the size of a banana! They should be weighing about 10.5 ounces (if Kaiya is still bigger then she's more b/c she weighed this a week ago!) Next set of information on the babies development is a little more private but very interesting! Kaiya's ovaries have descended from the abdomen into the pelvis and they are holding about 7 million primitive eggs (though at birth, the number of eggs will be closer to 2 million). Her uterus is fully formed. Roman's testicles have begun their descent from the abdomen. In a few months, they'll drop into the scrotum (which is still under construction). They both have plenty of room in their womb, which means there's plenty of space for twisting, turning, kicking, punching, and even an occasional somersault (and I've felt Roman do this a few times and it kinda hurts and takes my breath away for a minute)! Roman has always been the more active one! My niece Emerson has always said that Baby A is a girl and is very calm, and that Baby B is a boy and is not calm, and is very rowdy!! It's so funny how so far she has been right!!! I'm feeling great, and have started to try and more healthier foods more often. Broccoli was sounding horrible to me, but now it sounds good again! I'm really not craving anything, and I don't notice my appetite or taste buds being any different now then when I wasn't pregnant. I've gained an even 20 pounds for my 20 mark! Next week is my 21 week Dr's appt, so until then-have an awesome safe 4th off July!! My family will be in the parade this year for our high school Alumni so that's what I'll be doing! Then off to see fireworks Sunday night poolside :)

(Thought for the week) Last night at our Home group we discussed experiencing God and how this is solely based on our relationship with Him. It's easy to get caught up in our daily routines and not depend on him for every part of our everyday life. We need to depend on Him for EVERYTHING. I have been able to see what God's will is for my life feel His peace about certain circumstances in my life. When we prepare our hearts to experience Him, He will prepare our eyes to see Him. I urge you to throughout your day pray to Him, and not just for a few minutes at night when your in bed. Whatever makes you feel His presence throughout the day try to do this more often. We all call on Him at a time of crisis or when we need something from Him. Why not just call on Him for who He is and give Him praise? For me, its listening to certain music, or just stepping outside to look at His creation. I promise the more you seek Him, the more you will find Him. He's all around, and the earth is FILLED with His Glory! To see for yourself click on this link. It's pretty amazing.

I am overflowing with love for my beautiful babies!!

Yesterday was a very exciting day! We had another sonogram at Ultraview Imaging to confirm the genders. My husband was not totally convinced so we decided to check one more time! The appt was so amazing. I laid on a big bed and the sono tech turned off the lights and on a huge screen on the wall, we met our babies! She surprised us and flipped it to a 4d sonogram and we could really see our babies! I started crying and was squeezing Dustin's hand so hard the whole time. She confirmed over and over again that yes indeed I am carrying a boy and a girl!!! My dream has come true!!! I have to brag a second and she said this is the cutest she has ever seen twins at this early in a pregnancy. Two days ago Roman was breach and Kaiya was head down. Yesterday Roman and turned head down so they were laying right beside each other cuddling in during the sonogram! She explained that although they are in individual sacs...the membrane of the sacs is so thin like saran wrap so they can feel each other constantly! We got a video and pics to take home from the appointment. I can honestly say THIS is the happiest I have ever been (I know I keep saying that) :)! I now can continue changing the bedding, invitation, and clothing situation that I had started to do! Dustin's sister Misti came by late last night to see the video and after it she put her hand on my belly...sure enough little Kaiya kicked at that moment and Misti felt her!!!! She started screaming! She placed her hand there again and she kicked again!!! I documented this in the album. It was a great way to end the fabulous day. Our babies still have a lot of growing to do, but I already feel like they are so beautiful! Please meet Roman and Kaiya at 19 weeks gestation!!!
Roman is on the left and Kaiya is on the right

Now Roman is on the right and Kaiya is on the left
Sweet Kaiya
Roman's proof and Kaiya's proof
Kaiya's profile on the left (tilting her head up) and Roman's profile on the right
Kaiya on the left and Roman on the right

Kaiya has been the bigger baby all along! She's measuring 5 days ahead of schedule and Roman has been the smaller baby and given us the scares from the beginning and he's measuring 1 day behind now. I wonder if this will stand true to how much trouble they will give us later! At our first sono the Dr. didn't see Roman's heartrate, Dustin found it. Roman at first was measuring 5 days behind. Then his sac looked too small so we went to a specialist and by the time we had the specialist appt the sacs were equal. He seems to be doing great now! Their foot to head length is 8.7 inches and Roman weighs 9.07 ounces and Kaiya weighs 10.69 ounces. Me and Dustin were big babies! Very big! I was told I was a boy up until my mother held me! Even when the Dr. was pulling me out he said this is going to be a big football player! If Kaiya takes after me (like she seems to be doing) she'll hopefully be a big baby as well! Dustin weighed 8lbs 6 ounces when he was born and I weighed 8 lbs 11 ounces. This week their tooth buds, for both the milk teeth and the underlying permanent teeth, are now in place under the gums. Their abdominal organs, including the stomach, intestines, and liver, are fully enclosed within the abdominal cavity. Below are some evidence of my chubbiness as a baby when I was 8 months old, a year and 2 years.

I have now gained 18 pounds. I read that when carrying twins, when you're 24 weeks you should have gained at least 24 pounds. I'm right on track for that if not a little ahead :). I read a quote from another bloggers page that I love. "Instead of wishing away 9 months of pregnancy and complaining about weight gain, embrace it and cherish every moment and realize that the wonders growing inside you is your only chance to assist God in a miracle" With that said...below are my 19 week 1 day belly pics!

Have a wonderful, blessed day!

When Life Throws You a Curve Ball

This was the best illustration I could come up with with what we witnessed today. The direction of the air flow, and high pressure and low pressure, direction of spin, and the path if the ball! Just when I think my God can't suprise me or bless me anymore for the time being, He proves me wrong! Well Roman won't be playing baseball with his brother...if he's a nice brother he'll play barbies sometimes with his SISTER!!!! Yes that's right, we found out today at our 19 week appt that the Dr. was wrong and we are having 1 BOY AND 1 GIRL! Introducing Roman Choice and Kaiya Faith!!! My family has always said that I try to control EVERY little thing. Right when I thought I had this all under control...I ordered my baby bedding, bought A LOT of matching boy clothes, ordered bassinets and got their names monogrammed on a lot of items we get this news! Dustin was with me at the appt, and we were shocked to say the least! It's still setting in for him, but I haven't been able to stop smiling all day long!!! You should see all the girl clothes I have bought throughout the years of us trying to concieve. My families words were..."God is the only one who can put Kacey in her place and show her that she can't control EVERYTHING! HILARIOUS!"

The most special thing is that Grandad before he died said we were pregnant with twins and it would be a girl and a boy!! When I called my cousin today (she has not stopped saying that the 1st sono was wrong and that I'm having a boy and girl) I asked her..."so have you had any more feelings lately?" She said "Kacey I'm sorry but I really don't think its 2 boys...I really think its a boy and a girl!" I said "Well you're right!!!" Another cool thing is my friend called me and said she had a dream a couple of days ago that I told her that the sono was wrong and that its was a boy and a girl.

What an unbelievable blessing! Don't get me wrong...I was very excited about 2 little boys, but my gut all along has told me a boy and a girl. Please make note of the song that's playing is about a little girl. The next song is for our little boy. Below are the letters Dustin and I wrote to our boy and girl (back when we didn't know what they were).

(From Dustin)
Dear Roman and Kaiya,
Wow! I do not know what I have done to deserve such a blessing! Your mom and I have tried for three years to have one child, but I guess God thought after all that work he would give us the ultimate gift, a son and a daughter, at the same time! I know that as you two grow older you will learn many times what it feels like to want something that you cannot have. But when it comes to wanting to be a parent and not succeeding its, well its just different. Now although it has been a very long, tedious, emotional, and expensive, oh and did I mention expensive process I wouldn't change it for the world. You see when you want something you cannot have, you begin to want it even more. You will start to notice more people with it, and it seems to get more popular the longer you go without it until just about everyone you know and see have it (even people that you would never think would even want the same thing you want, oh yes they got one too)! But to want to be a mother and a father, that's different. You don't want it more beacuse your friend is a mom or a dad and it looks cool. You want it because the longer you go without it, you realize what a blessing, wow what a miracle. Man God is Awesome! And so with that said I just want to say thank you friends and family for all your prayers, and thank you God for answering them. So Roman and Kaiya, welcome to this family and as you two will quickly see, you are so loved, so wanted, and such an awesome blessing!
Love, Dad

(From Me)
Dear Roman and Kaiya,
Wow a boy AND girl! You are such a blessing to us! I prayed for you every day for years and years! I already feel like the luckiest person alive to have you two growing in my tummy. We've gone through every name on the face of this earth and found what we feel is your perfect names. Roman-if we were blessed with a boy we always said we would name him Roman. Your middle name Choice was Grandads name. Your father Dustin is a spitting image of who Choice was. Choice told us he believed we were pregnant and pregnant with twins and that they were a boy and a girl before we knew we were even pregnant! After he told us this that night the Lord took him in his sleep. Hours after he passed away we found out we were pregnant! Two weeks later we found out it was twins! Grandad somehow knew. God holds the beginning and the end in His hands. Kaiya-your name means diamond in the sky. We sponsor a little girl named Marie who lives in Congo Africa. The program we sponsor her through is called World Vision. Their symbol is a diamond in the sky. Your due date is her birthday! Your middle name Faith is the middle name we've always wanted our little girl to have. Our faith in God and that His promise would prevail NEVER wavered from our hearts. By grace you are saved through FAITH, not by yourselves; it is a gift from God-Ephesians 2:8. Both of you have already made me the happiest mother on earth. God has a special purpose for each of you. I wouldn't trade the hard journey we went through to have you for the world. We tried over and over to plan for you. One day we realized, it wasn't our plan it was GOD'S PLAN. Like most things in life, the people who truly have appreciation for the things they are blessed with are those who have struggled to attain their dreams. I know you will struggle at times in life, but my prayer to you is that you keep your eyes on the Lord and surrender to Him because His will for you will never take you where His grace will not protect you. Having gone through everything we went through to have you, I will NEVER take ANYTHING forgranted about the blessing of being your mother. I will notice everything about you. I willl take time to watch you sleep, explore and discover. I will actually be happy when I wake in the middle of the night to the sound of you crying, knowing I can comfort hold and feed you, and know that I'm not waking up to take my temperature, pop another pill, take another shot, or cry tears of a broken dream. My dream will be crying for me. I count myself blessed that God has given me this insight , this special vision with which I will look upon you with. I am a better wife, a better aunt, a better daughter, a better friend and neighbor because I have known pain. The love I have for you is indescribable and I can't wait to see life again through your eyes and become a family. You have the best Boppy, Grammy, Nana, and Papa anyone could ever ask for. You also have the best aunts and uncles and cousins who cannot wait to meet you. I will marvel at this incredible miracle everyday for the rest of my life! Glory be to God!!
With unmeasurable love,
Your Mommy

18 weeks-Halfway There!!!

Aren't these cool? I know they say for toddlers but I already bought two sets! Go to littlegrips.com if you want to order them.

Here's whats going on with Roman and Kason!
At 5 1/2 inches long (from butt to head) and about 5 ounces in weight (as much as a chicken breast but a lot cuter), they are filling out nicely and getting large enough that I can feel them a few times throughout the day. Another set of skills they are mastering now is yawning and hiccupping. They are both truly one of a kind now, complete with unique fingerprints on their fingertips and toes. Their eyes and ears have now moved to their final position. Well I've gained 17 lbs as of today. Yikes! Told ya those babies are growing!! (too bad they only make up 1 of those pounds!!!!)

My next Dr's appt is set for next Tues. This week we got the flooring we want to use in the nursery and I have a painter coming out next week to give me a quote. I've been able to spend some good quality fun in the sun time with my best friend whose 3 days behind me pregnant with her little boy she's naming Ryder. This summer is flying by, and my belly is growing fast!
Here are some pics we took yesturday at Hawaiin Falls of my nieces Aydia and Emerson, nephew Elijah, sister Whitney, best friend Lana and her little girl Maya, and her twin sisters little boy, Preston.

In the morning when I rise, bring a tear of joy to my eyes and tell me everything is gonna be alright!

This song is very special to me (Danny's Song). About 3 years ago I was with my sisters at Bed Bath and Beyond and I walked by a cd stand and it was playing. My dad always played this when we were growing up. Right then I turned around and bought that c.d. About 1 week later, I took my 1st positive pregnancy test after about 7 months of trying. The morning after I found, out I was driving to Dustin's work to pick him up and we were going to go eat lunch and plan how to tell our families the news. As I was driving to his work this song came on and lost it. Tears of pure happiness and joy. I really felt like this pregnancy was a boy. Later that night I started bleeding and the following day after getting bloodwork done I realized I was beginning to miscarry. I haven't listened to that song since then (2 years ago). I was scrolling through my play list this morning thinking of what song I should put as the background and saw this song. Now I'm having 2 sons, so the song is even more special to me! Once again, it brought some tears to my eyes and God reassured me through this song that everything's gonna be alright.

I think I may be feeling Roman and Kason! Just a couple times throughout the day I feel very light flutters. It doesn't last long; infact, by the time I pause the tv or stop what I'm doing to try to feel it, it goes away. Yesterday I turned 17 weeks! My belly has really popped out in the last week! They are about 5 inches long now (from butt to head) and weigh about 5 ounces each! Body fat is beginning to form (bring on the chunkyness)! Their heartrate is now regulated by their brain (no more spontaneous beats) and clocks in at 140-150 beats per minute. (Roman's is about 146 and Kason's is about 150).

-This is a 3D picture of a 17 week old baby

Last week we registered and so far I have already done the following:

-ordered custom baby bedding and picked colors for nursery

-ordered bassinets

-started to pick out their nursery furniture

-schedule 4D sonogrom for July 30th!

This week my goal is to:

-schedule painter for nursery to come out

-schedule flooring for the nursery

Lift my friends up in prayer!

I have 3 friends of mine who this week are going through the IVF/IUI process. My heart cries out to God for Him to bless them with a baby. I feel I have been placed in their lives and have been able to help go through this with them. I pray that this is their time to become mothers and that His promise will prevail.

Dear Lord,
I pray that you will have their bodies be in perfect alignment and that whatever may be hindering them to have a child to be gone. Please give them peace in their hearts as they wait these next two weeks. We worship you while we wait and may all the Glory that comes from this be to You.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

TWO

I copied and pasted the post below from my sisters blog that she wrote about our reveal night....

Tonight was the Sex Party at Kiki's house....My vote from the beginning was 2 boys, however I was thinking boy/girl would be so great, a friend for each of mine. Dustin's grandpa, Choice, that passed when they found out they were prego left behind this sweet lady: Granny. She has thought boy/girl all along, but today she had an overwhelming feeling of 2 boys...

Aydia said 2 boys all along...so cute!

just before the huge crowd at their house watched the revealing video, Aydia ran up to Kiki with joy

Elijah was holding, Emerson, Dustin's niece who is one week younger than Elijah.

The Proud Daddy

and Proud Mommy

and the babies: the right one is looking onto the left one :) so precious!!!!!

1 BOY

2 BOYS

We give all glory to God for these double blessings! Amen Amen Amen!!!!!

?????? No longer a question mark. Now its !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I first started this blog back in Dec 09 I wrote a post (labeled "A Sign") talking about the day I was driving in my car and I looked up in the sky and was asking God if I ever would be a mother. I was looking for a sign in the clouds as to what I would have one day...a boy or a girl. There was a question mark made out in the clouds. (Seek Him and you will find him) I didn't know what to take by this at the time until later that night I was creating my blog and wanted to put pictures of clouds and sunsets under my label God's Paintbrush. When I googled pictures of clouds the first picture of clouds I that pulled up was sure enough a question mark! I have this picture saved at the bottom of my blog. It wasn't until then that I realized that it wasn't for me to know at that time what I would be having. His promise had not prevailed at that moment but it would, and he still had work to do in us.

Today He gave me that answer to my question and the question mark is no longer a question mark. At 8:00 tonight we found out along with all our family and friends that we are the Mother and Father of two precious BOYS!!!! He's blessing us with TWO BOYS!!!!!

This makes everything so much more real now! Today was the happiest day of my life! Right after finding out, my husband and I each read a letter and shared our first words that we had written the night before to them (we each wrote 3 letters b/c we didn't know what they would be). Mine was a little long, so I'll just share my husbands letter.

Dear Roman and Kason,
I am so excited to know that I'm a father of not just one but two sons!! your mother and I have waited for this day for three long years. And to think how soon we will finally meet. I must brag a bit and mention that about a year ago long before Kacey was pregnant she asked me what I could vision us having and I was quick to say twin boys! I didn't just say this because I'm a man and all I want is boys, but I really felt it. Now that you two boys will be our first children I know that we will have alot to learn from each other. Just as you two will be learning how to live life, we will be learning how to teach it. I pray every night and thank God for blessing us with two children. Now since there are two of you I know as parents we will have tremendous responsibilities, but so will you. You will have to look after one another, trust each other, love one another, and of course love us, especially you mother...no teaming up on her while I'm at work!! I know that God has blessed us with you two for a great purpose and I look forward to watching the two of you grow and become the great men I know that you two will be.
Love,
Dad

The Dr. said the babies look great and they are only measuring 1 day apart now! He said they were "spooning" and they were both laying the exact same direction looking the same way. Please take a minute to declare our Lord's Glory! I'm am just overwhelmed with how awesome He is and I just want to give Him praise! Glory in the HIGHEST!!! Glory Glory to you Lord!!! I sing for Joy at the work of Your Hands! Nothing compares to the promise I have in YOU.

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow! Let the nursery designing begin! Tomorrow I'm going to pick out the bedding, and Friday we're going to register!!(Not wasting any time here :) Roman and Kason are 4 to 5 inches long (butt to head) and weigh anywhere from 3 to 5 ounces. I've gained 12 pounds! Their eyes are complete with eyebrows and eyelashes and their ears are in the right spots. What's more, their eyes are finally working!!! They are making small side-to-side movements and can even perceive some light, though the eyelids are still sealed. They are also becoming more sensitive to touch. They are able to open and close their mouth and swallow. Here's the latest belly pics!
