Roman meet your Family...Family meet Our Gift From God-Unending Love Amazing Grace!

Life couldn't be more rich right now. As fall and Thanksgiving is setting in, the weather is "perfect" and I just don't think life can get much better than this. I am so Thankful! I wake up each morning, look over at my beautiful baby boy and you would think I have a CD on repeat every morning to the song "Good Morning Beautiful" because each morning, as my eyes meet my angel, it starts playing in my head...

-Good Morning Beautiful, how was your night? Mine was wonderful with you by my side and when I open my eyes to see your sweet face, its a Good Morning Beautiful Day! I couldn't see the light, I didn't know day from night...I had no reason to care. But since you came along, I can face the dawn cause I know you'll be there. Good Morning Beautiful, how was your night? Mine was wonderful with you by my side and when I open my eyes to see your sweet face, its a Good Morning Beautiful Day! I never worry if its raining outside, cause in here with you boy the sun always shines! Good morning beautiful, how was your night? Mine was wonderful with you by my side, and when I open my eyes and see your sweet face, its a Good Morning Beautiful Day! "Good Morning Beautiful Day!"

I Thank You Jesus for Your Unending Love, Amazing Grace, and Your "Promise" of my Beautiful Blessing!
Roman's wearing a very appropriate outfit this morning...because what it says...he did just that!
This is what "pushes play" to the song "Good Morning Beautiful" in my head!

Sweet Baby is 2 months old! (well 38 weeks gestation). He would still be in my belly for 2 more weeks! He's weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz!

We have had to be VERY careful with Roman because he was born at 30 weeks, and his lungs weren't fully developed AND he was a twin. This puts him at high risk for catching RSV. RSV to most people and babies is a cold, but if he were to get one it is like bronchitis or pneomonia. Almost all children get RSV by the age of 2, but for Roman it would not just be a cold. He would be hospitalzed and on ventilotors. Although we want to take him places (church, restaurant, with other babies and kids), it is just not worth the risk. With everything my poor baby has already been through both inside and outside of the womb, and as hard and as long as we tried to have a baby, we are going to follow Dr's orders. All the NICU Dr's, nurses, and his pediatrition stressed to us the importance of keeping Roman "in" until RSV season is over...which is March!!! When we first heard this we were really taken back...he'll be like 6 months by then! Dustin keeps telling me... "We got our baby and just because we want to introduce him to people and kids want to meet him, we have to put him and his health first and take no risks." When this is put into perspective, everything else goes out the window. I hope everyone understands and doesn't just think I'm being overprotective. Believe me, I would love to take him out and have him around my neices and nephews...but because of his situation and him being born at the beginning of RSV season we'll just have to put it on hold. We have an entire lifetime for us all to be together, we just have to get him through this first few months safely.

We've been able to introduce him to most all of the family. He still needs to meet is Aunt "ToTo" and Uncle "Scott" and his cousins Reagan and Claire (Dustin's sister, brother in law and neices), and his Uncle "Kasey" and cousins Aydia and Elijah (my brother in law and niece and nephew who are age 2 and 4). We let Emerson (Dustin's neice who's 4) come look at him throught the back door/window and she loved that! That is the only way Elijah and Aydia will be able to see him for now too. On Thanksgiving we plan to take him to each family's get togethers, but have him in a pack in play in a back room and just let people and the young kids "peek" at him from a distance. We've had family come over in pairs to meet him and hold him and that has been great! Here are the pictures below.

Meet Grammy and GrandMum! (my Mom and Grandmother)
Grandmum and Roman

Precious Memory (check!)

Meet Grammy and Boppy!! (my Mom and Dad)-Their love for you is never-ending! With me being their daughter, they actually lived through all the emotions I went through and all the occurences as if they were going through them themselves! This journey was so hard on them, but now it is even that much more rewarding!

Look at their Prayers come to Life! Meet Aunt Whit (my sister). This girl has probably prayed for you every day for 3 years! I even have a voicemail saved on my phone from last year when she says "Sis I just wanted to call, because I've been praying for you all day..."

Pray as if you have already recieved it, and it shall be yours-Mark 11:24 (if you believe that you have recieved it it shall be yours)

True Love

Meet Uncle Justin (Dustin's sister's boyfriend)! Justin has been so excited for you, he bought you a full wardrobe of Cowboy's clothes!
Meet Aunt Hay Hay and Uncle Chris! (my sister and brother in law) Aunt Hay Hay has the nicest heart you will come across here on this earth...at least the nicest one I have come across. She has lots of love to give to you!
Look at ya'll in your Cowboy attire!

Meet your Aunt Misti! (Dustin's sister) Misti is the funniest person you will meet on this earth...at least the funniest person I have met. You are going to LOVE her! She said from the beginning, when I was pregnant with you and your sister that she really had a strong connection to "Baby B" (you). She even dreamed of you and what you would look like (she told me you would come at 30 weeks) and when she first met you, you looked just like she did in her dream! There's the strong connection!
Meet cousin Peyton! (Misti's daughter) Peyton has been so excited for you! The day when we were to get the call from the nurse whether I was pregnant or not, I was in the car with Peyton and she looked at me and said "I know your pregnant! It's a boy and girl! She said it so matter of fact, I really felt like I really could be! Sure enough 2 hours later, we got the call and I was still in the car with her. I'll never forget the look of pure happiness and joy on her face! I love you Peyt!
My older nieces have to wear a mask if they are holding him (because they are in school).
Here you look like you could be Uncle Chris's son!
Wrapped up in the blanket my mom's friend Ann made you.

Here you are in the nursery Boppy worked so hard for so many days for you! I kept telling Boppy...can you imagine when we'll finally get to hold him in this nursery!? (Precious Memory-check!)
Meet your Nana and Papa (Dustin's Mom and Dad)!! You are your Papa and Nana's 1st Grandson. They have 5 Grandaughters! You being Papa's only Grandson, I know you will have a very special bond with him. Your Nana has been on her knees praying for you, and has had her whole church group class praying for you! She is going to get to babysit you a whole lot and there's no question that you will love your Nana!
That's a look of Pure Love!
Oh and meet your Sweet Granny! (Dustin's Grandmother-"Choice-who your named after..wife" She cried when she met you, and said she could see your Grandad "Choice" in you all over...even down to your "cute little ears" as she called it. Granny is 94 and worked hundreds of hours making you the most beautiful quilt. You'll love the weekly visits we take to her house and hear all her sweet stories. Granny reminds me so much of my Granny who passed away 15 years ago.

You love laying on your Nana...
...and your Grammy...you are one Blessed Little Boy to have these women as your Grandmothers!
I can't wait for Roman to meet the other family members...I'll post those pics when it happens and tell Him each story about how much they love him!

CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE???!!!

  4. So sweet! Don't feel bad about being overprotective, it's every new momma's right! He's a precious angel and it's better to be safe! I know I go into hyper-sensitive mode with a newborn, but they are just soooo tiny and RSV is just so nasty!
