Wanna see more pictures??

(this is Whitney again, Kacey will jump back on here in a few more days)
Roman now weighs 3.07oz We all thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement!
"put your hands up"
Smiling after a bath...this is my favorite picture of them all!!
I asked Elijah to draw a picture of himself for a school project and instead he drew "Roman with wires around him and Kaiya is above him with wings." I had nothing to do with this...I believe his sweet spirit understands more than we know! (sorry I cant turn it, tilt your head to the left)
My dad took this picture with his phone in Mansfield near Kacey & Dustin's house on Sunday. Our family has been calling moments like this a "Kaiya Sky" Look for them and you will see them too! Her spirit lives on and Jesus continues to shine His grace down upon us...
The calendar in Kacey's office at home, has scriptures that she has spoken of before, on this journey...several times the scripture for the day matches what is going on that day...and once again, she looked backwards to Septmeber 9th, The delivery day...and it read: "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but at what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:17,18

Prince Roman

I told you all the nurse are calling him Prince and fighting over him...and I got to see him yesterday and agree with them!! He is so beautiful!! Here is Kacey & Dustin with Roman, their first family picture!!

Hearts have been touched all over the world...this hat was made by a friend of mine from church...it fits him perfectly since he had outgrown his first lilttle hat
Roman is now 2 lbs 14 oz and eating better everyday! We are so proud of this little man and so is the head Doctor, Dr. Sidebottom! :) He only has great things to say everyday...and he is also impressed with how much his parents love this little man!

Sweet Roman loves to smile and has every reason in the world to! What A BLESSING!! (by whit)

Happy ONE Week baby Roman!!!!

He is smiling in the above picture and did several times today, but those are on Kacey's camera, the ones I added below are from their cell phones!
This is on Kacey's chest, and he is holding Dustin's finger
... all that is left is a feeding tube, which shold should possibly come out in one week!

My beautiful sister...now a beautiful Mommy! Thank you Jesus!!
Today Roman weighed 2lbs 13.7oz, he is on his way back up!!
Look how tiny I am in my Daddy's arms!
Thank you for your prayers on his test results! The brain scan came back normal. The kidneys are still showing a little bit of fluid but the Dr is not concerned and they may or may not check it again before he goes home.

There are NO MORE needles in his sweet body! They took the last IV out last night!! Roman only has a feeding tube in his mouth. He is on normal feedings every 3 hours, 24 ml. Kacey is pumping every 3 hours through the night as well and is producing double what Roman is eating, so there is plenty back up!

Roman is pooping 2-3 times a day which pleases everyone. He makes a sweet cooing sound when he sleeps and a heart beat sound that Kacey has put in his bed next to him has helped him to calm down. His incubator is covered with a blue Prince blanket and all the nurses call him Prince. The ladies are already fighting over who gets him for the day and brag on how beautiful he is!! Roman recognizes Dustin & Kacey's voice and opens his eyes when they talk.
Their only focus now is to feed and grow him!
We are so very proud of this young man!! Kacey is feeling good and Joy comes with every new day! Here is one last picture from today, on Daddy's heart:
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12

"...I raised you up for this purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth." Romans 9:17

September 9, 2010 in pictures

Contractions wouldnt stop early Tuesday morning of the 7th, and the family met them there around 4am. Wednesday was a long day of contractions and prayer and the Moms had a slumber party!

Thursday was an exciting day in the waiting room. We were all worried about Kacey and her pain and the babies, but the excitement of sitting front row in such a miracle made us rejoice!

BEAUTIFUL .... ROMAN CHOICE PIERSON
Since his birthday Roman has lost a little weight - 3 lbs and now to 2.11, but that is normal and Kacey says she will chubby him up!! :) Kacey has held him and changed his diaper. She listened to her favorite song through this journey, "Healer" by Kari Jobe, while holding him.

He is now off of his cpap (oxygen) and breathing 100% room air!

Roman is digesting 12 of 15 ml at his meals :)

**Please be in prayer for his test results on his kidneys that were taken today. We should find out tomorrow.

And now look at my beautiful, precious nephew, Roman Choice Pierson
*His birthday verse - Romans 9:9 "For this was how the PROMISE was stated: "At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son."
*The subtitle in the NIV Bible, above chapter 9 says" God's Soveriegn Choice" (and his middle name is Choice)
*Roman means: Strong, Powerful & Fighter

Kacey is feeling much better today and went down to see him tonight!
She is IN LOVE! :)
I think she gets discharged Monday!

Proud Aunties

Haley, Misti & Nicole and I wanted to leave one more post tonight....Roman is beautitful!!!
We, along with our family got to see him in NICU. He is in his own little "house" and has lots of wires to monitor everything, but so far they are so impressed with him! He is TINY, but yet looks so healthy!!
Im not sure how to say this right, but I believe Dustin said he is on 21% oxygen through his nose.
He does have a feeding tube in his belly for now....
The expect him to have a great night!
Kacey is back to her old self again and is smiling...She is such a pretty momma!!
Dustin is very sleepy and the family went home around 2am :)
Im sure Kacey can pick this back up again on her own tomorrow and I know yall want pictures, but its hard to get them through his special "house."
Thank you for your prayers, please keep them going...they are being answered and felt!!
Amen! We Praise you Lord!!

Waiting on Dr

Kacey's contractions have been 12 min apart all day.
The last hour they are 7 min apart.
Dr is coming by soon when his day at the office is done.
He will check to see if she is a 4 yet... We think she should be by now with all these painful contractions.
If she is a 4 they will do a c section.
She is on Stadol for pain but she thinks it's not working...still in pain!
She is so focused and doing so good!
Will write more as I know!
Love Aunt Whit, Aunt Hay Hay, Cousin Amber and the rest of the waiting room party

Rainbows

The 3 pictures above I took on our way home from the hospital the night before Roman was born!!
....Kacey posted this on December 11, 2009 with a picture she had found at the time and wanted me to repost it today:

The rainbow is a sign of God's promise that he will guide us through any storm, that he will see us through all our troubles no matter what their form. "And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you. I set my bow in the cloud and it shall be my promise between me and earth." Genesis 9:12-16

Dr said:

She is at a 3.
If she gets to a 4 she will have a c section.
Romans 9:9 says: "For this is how the promise was stated: at the appointed time I will return and Sarah will have a son"
Please read Romans 9:11&12 and my bible then lead me to Genesis 25:23
We drove home yesterday and saw an amazing double rainbow!
God's reminder of His promise!

Dr Visit

Kacey is at a 3
Dr said considering Kaiya's situation she could possibly deliver her.
They are still in there checking their options.... PRAY!!!
Please don't text or call her phone.
I promise to keep you posted
